Ryan Payne, RCC
Ryan Payne is a Private Practice Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C) in Squamish, British Columbia where he lives with his wife and two sons. His interest in the clinical application of psychedelic medicines was piqued during his graduate studies as he encountered research paper after research paper in which these medicines were being harnessed to positively impact the lives of clients/patients who had not found help elsewhere (via more traditional interventions). Most recently, Ryan has worked as a program facilitator with Roots to Thrive, a Vancouver Island based organization and leader in the delivery of group-based Ketamine Assisted Therapy. This has provided him with a wealth of experience in directly supporting clients through non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Ryan holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from McGill University and a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the City University of Seattle. Additionally, he has completed the MDMA Therapy Training Program with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and Psilocybin Assisted Therapy with TheraPsil.
